Planning before concrete arrives
ICF projects require more than stacking blocks. Bracing, reinforcement, openings, penetrations, lift planning and concrete placement all need to be coordinated so walls stay straight and the system is ready for the trades that follow.
Built for Southeast Minnesota conditions
The combination of concrete mass and continuous insulation is especially relevant in Minnesota, where homes experience long heating seasons, temperature swings and severe weather. ICF can be considered for basements alone or for larger portions of the building envelope.
Finish and project options
Some projects use ICF only below grade, while others continue above grade. The right scope depends on the house design, energy goals, budget, trade coordination and the ICF system selected by the project team.
